    Kilted At Pro Bass

GOOD DAY, Well there is a new Pro Bass store that just had thier gand opening and I drop by to check it out today. Had my SWK Leather Neck with Navy hose, red flashings, and a nice wool sweater to keep me nice and toastie. If some of you are have not heard of Pro Bass it's a mega outdoor sports store, fishing camping, hunting, and it's huge!!

Frist thing as soon as I walk in a store employee, a huge older gent about mid 60's grap my hand and said that this really made his day. He knew the tartan and was really happy to see someone in it. This man comments just made my day and I told him so

Second, as I was moving thru the store checking out various items about half a dozen people all asked me if I was from Scotland, well one lady asked if I was from Ireland. All got a simple but polite "no", all but the last lady that asked me, for some reason I don't know why but in my best fake Texas accent I said "no madam, why do you ask?" Her respones was "just woundering" and the "outfit was very colourful". All in all had a good day kilted but that goes without say.

    THANKS Wes

    Different than Bass Pro Shops?

Either way, if you can wear a kilt there, you can wear a kilt ANYWHERE.

    Bass Pro

I've worn my kilt at THE Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World here in Springfield; Bass Pro has a great seafood restaurant, Hemingway's Blue Water Cafe, on the fourth floor. One of the Scottish organizations had a dinner meeting there, and so about half-a-dozen of us walked in one eveing in Highland attire, and not word was said, just a few double-takes.

    Cheers,

    Todd

I've been kilted at the bass pro here in oklahoma a great many times. It is always fun to see the reactions of people as they round the corner of the fish tank to see me in standing in front!

great thing is, the only people who actually say anything are either compliments or embarrassed parents trying to excuse their kid's curious questions like "Why is that man wearing a skirt mommy?".

Excellent; kilts are great for going to the shops.
