Fun in the hot sun
Twas out to the Pomona, CA Irish faire sunday, had planned on going out saturday to show off the new E-kilt to Yaish but at 2:13pm I was still working on the waist and belt loops. A very hot day, better still to be kilted as some of us were. A gent asked me where he could look as he is considering getting his first kilt. I referred him here and to James at SK (neither they nor UK were in attendance though). He asked where I'd gotten mine, I replied that I made it meself. He and all the girls were quite impressed, they loved the elephants.
And keeping tradition alive for about the 6th straight year, I saw Celtic Spring play a set - the girls have never seen me with pants on (one of my favorite lines) - the smile is worth it every time.
With the temps in the high 90s the little bit of a breeze felt good, I haven't sweated like that in a while - lost 2 pounds though .
CT - and none were surprised by the bite marks

Ah too bad I missed you. I went back Sunday, was there for several hours. I delivered a CD of photos and video taken from the Games on Saturday and saw American Wake, besides some general shopping.
I saw elephants, but no elephant kilts. (What you didnt know the Irish have native elephants? They must, that would explain the elephant rides at the fair)

If you make it down to Muldoons for the next Fenains show I'll wear it (and hopefully have straps and buckles on it by then. I did as I saw somebody mentioned on here a while back and just held it up and on with my belt (good thing I finished the belt loops)

I would be really worried about going out in the sun like that again! If you keep loosing weight like that, yer kilt will just fall off!

Not to worry, I'm off in search of a Smithwicks or three as soon as I'm done here. That's the kilt in the tiny avatar pic so ya know.
