When wearing a kilt makes you an expert on all things Scottish

There I was browsing the cold meats aisle in the local supermarket this morning in black polycotton kilt when I was approached by a young couple who asked my opinion as to which brand of haggis I would recommend. Happy to be of help to them, and nice that the kilt drew someone into conversation, but I don't think wearing a kilt automatically makes me a haggis expert.

But you must obviously eat the stuff as that is the only reason to wear a kilt!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Well, of course. Everyone knows that what a man wears under his kilt is the finest haggis.

I had a fellow literally run after me one day to ask about investment advice on a some small British company I had never heard of, all due to the power of the kilt.

At least your question makes more sense.

I am asked Rugby scores even if the match hasn't started, have been asked the best brand of porage oats in a supermarket and have been used as an airline arrivals board as in someone saying at Bristol Airport "ah the Inverness flight must be in" when they saw me kilted!

Not been asked about haggis yet but bound to happen!
