A Tale of Two Dads
It was the best of times and it was even the better of times.
Tonight I was downtown at a book signing party when within a span of 5 minutes, two Dads were giving their children a lesson in the Kilt.
The dynamics were all so neat and extremely varied.
The first Dad and his son walked up to me with his son of about 4 in hand and asked if he could ask me a question. I said yes of course and he said "Why do you wear...what's it called Daddy, (the whisper in his ear was noticeable), a Kilt?" I told him in the easiest way I could that I wore a Kilt primarily because of my heritage and that many people wear Kilts, bagpipers, athletes, and just every day people. So he may see others from time to time in a Kilt. "Thank you very much sir" he said. Good kid.
The second Dad had around him about 4 youngsters from about 4-9 years old. He said "My children, that is one REAL man, because he wears a Kilt"
It was wonderful to hear both of these positives that Dads are imparting to their "younguns"
