I got up from my computer to let my pit bull out for a minute and I found a glorious package waiting for me on my front doorstep! I took it inside and placed it on the kitchen table for opening.

This is how my custom stillwater kilt arrived. I took it out of the bag and saw that it was in good shape save for a slight crease in the front. No biggy. I took some quick shots of the front and back after I put a Tudor rose pin in it.

The tartan is all black and grey. You can see that I custom ordered this one pleated to the stripe in the back, so the pattern is different there. I tend to get all my kilts this way if I can help it. I didn't know that SWK did custom kilts until I recently read the fine print at the bottom of the page for their standard kilts. I had really been needing a 23 inch long kilt.

And here I am wearing it with a sweater. As far as the kilt goes, I was quite satisfied with it. I think it must be hard to find pleat depth like this in this price range. I was wearing a military issue style McKenzie kilt just before I put this one on, which made the SWK standard seem lighter in comparison. But when I stepped outside I found it was the perfect weather for a SWK standard today. The fabric on the SWK standard is soft.

I enjoy this kilt a lot. I just thought I'd share some pictures and thoughts about this wonderful tartan.
