So I was browsing Ebay last Wednesday and I noticed this wool kilt starting at $55 w/ one bid. It was my exact size, well 1/2" shorter than usual, but that's easy. A 5 yard 11oz. wool (a good summer weight) from Lochcarron of Scotland in the St. Patricks tartan. So I decided to "watch" it as there was 9 hours left on it. I really had no intentions on purchasing a new kilt, nor did I expect to win it. I just figured w/ such a low bid and very little time left, that I'd come up with a number, if it goes past that, then oh well, no biggie. While watching a movie w/ the wife....1 hour left, still $55, so I decide to pull the last minute bid if it doesn't skyrocket (as they usually do). So I pick a number from me bum, hits 30 seconds.....BAM! I win it for $75, not bad for the exact kilt selling in Celtic Croft for $375! WOWSERS! So I got it in the mail today, wow, near mint, the only thing I notice is a small pull from the kilt pin.
