Here's my conundrum:

I've been invited to a wedding in Rhode Island at the end of September. I'd very much like to go kilted.

It's at a yacht club, so a jacket is required. My current collection of kilt jackets include a black argyle and a 90% complete grey-tan tweed conversion.

Those of you familiar with New England summers know that it can still be quite hot at the end of September.

Should I wear one of the jackets I already have or get to work on stitching up another conversion in something non-wool so I don't turn into a puddle?

Thanks in advance for the help.
