Thumbs up Signed "Flabbergasted" of Lancs

Read a few threads on here mentioning Stillwater cargo sporrans. Thought I'd log onto Jerry's website and see what it was all about. Found that the Cargo sporrans were not available so sent an email to the Stillwater sales e-ddress to ask when they were likely to stock them again. Expected a reply maybe sometime... Within 3 hours (this means Jerry was answering business emails at 6 in the morning local time... respect!) I got a personal reply telling me he'd let me know when they were next in stock and also answered some other questions I had...

Yesterday afternoon (two days later) I received another email to inform me the sporrans were now available with a link to the shop's cargo sporran page. Now that... Is great communication and excellent customer relations. I'm not a long standing, valued customer, just a random email from out of the blue but the swift response and follow-up made me feel like a valued customer...

If the sporrans are as good as everyone say's and overcome the problem of small opening and big hands then I think $25.95 (£15) is a real bargin.

Needless to say I ordered one immediately and now eagerly await it's arrival... (can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait)

I did balk a bit at the postage to sunny Britain which was $24 ($2 less than the cost of the item?.. phew!!) but then again, it's mee own fault for living in the UK. You can't buy those sporrans here so if you want one you've got to get it shipped over and that's what it costs.

I'll let you all know what I think of it when it turns up. Might even open an account at that photoshopbucketthingy or whatever it is and include a few pictures.

Hats off to Jerry and Stillwater Kilts though. 12 out of 10 for service so far!

Jerry's service is legendary around here - in fact there is some suspicion he owns a time machine.

    Cheers!

All I can say is that my Stillwater cargo sporran is now the only sporran I wear. It just can't be beat... unless he was to get another order of them in Leather.

Looks like I made the right choice then.

I've got both the nylon and the leather...the nylon is slightly more flexible and holds a little bit more because of that. All things being equal, if it's in the budget and it becomes available get the leather...it's just as functional and I've found it a tad more versatile in terms of casual/dressy appearance. I'd assume that the postage charges would be the same for either (?).

I bought my SWK nylon cargo sporran for hiking, I was surprised to find I use it for far more than just that.

Taking a look at the Stillwater Site it seems that Jerry has brought in a line of fur dress sporrans in white, gray, brown, and black for under $50.

    Cheers

Yea, you have to deal with the shipping from here. We also have to deal with the shipping from Scotland.

Cheers, and be happy we have a way to mail!

While I was skulking around the SWK website, lamenting about how I had nothing in my budget for any of Jerry's goodies, a cousin called me to do some legal work for him. When he asked me how much I wanted to be paid, immediately insisting that $0 wasn't an option, I let him know I could be paid with a kilt and a Nightstalker sporran.

I love it when things work out.
