I know the movie Made of Honor has been discussed here before, but here's my review.

First of all, I did not watch this on my own accord. A friend of mine wanted to see it, and only after the movie began did I realize it was the one we've been talking about here a few weeks (months?) ago. The basic premise is that a guy (Patrick Dempsey) is best friends with this girl (Michelle Monaghan) who he realizes he is in love with after she becomes engaged to this Scottish guy. Half the movie is set in Scotland, planning a Scottish wedding.

Pros:
-Actually filmed in Scotland
-Most of the accents are real
-There's a scene where a bridesmaid rips her dress and the men at the wedding donate their military-style kilt pins to keep it together (I found this both awesome and funny)
-Good-sounding bagpipes

Cons:
-Ice in the Scotch
-Claiming that the Highland Games were historically a way of proving ones worth to marry a bride
-Renaissance costumes at said Highland Games
-Men competing in great kilts at the Highland Games
-Listing the ingredients of haggis as "lamb's lung and cow's pituitary gland" -- though this may have been for comedic purposes
-There is a part where the Scottish guy is wearing a tweed kilt suit-cool, right? Eh, not so much. 1) the kilt and the jacket do not match (not even close!), 2) no belt, 3) no sporran. It looked really odd and sloppy.


Rottentomatoes.com gives this movie a 12% rating. I agree. It was predictable and boring, and the Scottish parts were often cheesy and factually incorrect. Don't waste your time.
