Happy Thankgiving from Germany
Just returned from Thanksgiving Dinner at the Grafenwoehr Dining Facility.

As part of the Commander's Staff, my wife and I were part of the official party welcoming invited German Guests to the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.
For those of you who were never part of the American military, Thanksgiving is a really big event. The cooks go all out to prepare turkey, ham, roast beef, with all the vegetables and accompanying dishes including desserts, of cake and pumpkin pie. The Dining Facility was decorated with bright fall colors of orange and brown and many highly complex decorated cakes were on display to show the skill of the cooking staff.
My kilt is from Rocky at USA Kilts in his own design, German Heritage. The colors are from the black, red, and gold of the German Flag. He designed it a couple of years ago to celebrate his own German heritage. I was fortunate to be able to get the first kilt made from the fabric. The P.C. is new. First time I wore it. Sporran is also new. I think I'm about ready to go to Dumfries in January for Roberts Burns weekend at Ferintosh.
Received several nice comments on the kilt and outfit. So all in all a nice day.
Some of you are just yet getting up to start the day. I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving day.
Tom
