.......... which sadly left Storrington yesterday morning for the warmer climes - the sun, sand and Palm Trees - of San Jose, California. It's a long flight for a wee thing like that.

At this point, I must say what a privilege it has been to have the little chap under my roof at Bicknell Grange. We have been busily occupied although there are still places unvisited on my list which will have to wait for a return trip in the future. Sadly, no other kilties were free to join us this time, what with the Christmas and New Year festivities and the bitterly cold weather. Even my personal photographer, Tri Self-Timer, was not always able to come out with us, which resulted, I am afraid, in so few images of this historic event.

I understand it will take The 'Saltire' approximately four days to complete its journey, in which case, it will currently be somewhere over the Atlantic, on a westward bearing.

This was the scene, on the South Terrace, shortly after The 'Saltire' slipped its moorings and headed out along England's south coast:

Bon Voyage and Happy Landings, my new-found friend.

Take care,
Ham.
