    First time at the office

I've been thinking about it for a while and decided today was a good day to wear the kilt to the office.

The boss is out of town today, so I only have one other co-worker to give me grief. There was the obligatory comment about the dress, but other than that it's been pretty quite.

The comment from the woman in the hall more than made up for the slight negative.

Oh, come on....what was the woman's comment? She should be celebrated for having good taste!

Hmmm... I don't know if I can remember it all. She probably heard the tassels on my sporran drumming as I walked up behind her and said "oh" rather quietly, then:

Her: "Oh, COOL, Irish or Scottish"

    Me: Scottish

Her: Sticks out her hand and says "I'm from House of Ireland, that really looks sharp." (or words to that effect).

More conversation about St. Pat's day celebrations in Balboa Park where they have the International Pavilion.

Another parting comment about great to see the kilt.

If my inexpensive Sportkilt gets that kind of response what will it be like when I get my "tank"?

The people who work the International Houses are terrific!

I started making Fridays Kasual Kilt Day at work several years ago. My coworkers were very entertained at first and then it became a nonissue. Now, though, I work at home on Fridays. And, they miss seeing me in my kilt!

So good for you! I hope you can continue!

Oh, probably the same. It's not the quality of the kilt but the kilt itself. I am wearing a super quality B&S casual and am getting all sorts of great comments, this B&S is a custom made machine sewn 5 yard 13 oz, by no way a tank, but a wonderful kilt. The reacations are superb! Just remember a man in a kilt is a man and a half! (thank you sport kilt)

Kilted at work, that's a big step. It's one I have yet to take.
