    I fought the lawn...

Spring has arrived in a big way here in the SF Bay Area! And nothing likes the spring better than grass. When the ground is wet and the sun is warm you can hear the grass growing. Today, finally, my field was dry enough to go at it...

So here's the obligatory pic of me in a kilt (USAK Douglas casual) in the half mowed field:

And here's a shot towards the same direction (more or less) from last summer:

    Let the gardening commence!

Great shots, I'm loving the casual "I can do that in a kilt" look, good for you.

Looks like your winning the fight. Nice comfortable look.

I always got second looks from people while I was doing yard work. I really did enjoy it as it looks like you are too.

Bare feet? I've never atempted that. Always afraid I'd lose a toe. Anyway nothing better than a kilt to do yardwork in. I wish my yard people would wear kilts. But I'm never home when they do there thing, anyway.

    Regards,
    Rex.

I like my toes! Actually, I had slipped out of my well worn Birkenstock garden clogs and into a pair of flip-flops for the photo.

I used to do yard work in my pleated-canvas Man-skirt. I just wore sandals for the light stuff like inspecting the gardens etc.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
