    Wooden Kilt Pins

I love doing these, they are proving to be a great tension reliever:

    Thanks Kett,
The last one ( Sea-Dragon ) is out of Black Walnut, a very nice wood to work with.

They're beautiful! Are they functional or just decorative? It seems that wood would be too lightweight to stand up to a breeze [but I'd wear them anyway].

Those are truly amazing! What kind of knife do you use?

I use different knives, Helvie, Flexcut, Denny, and Hock. I use Flexcut gouges, and when the wood is really hard and not "blade managable" I use a Foredom SR motor ( for heavy work) and a Dremel 400XPR (for light work).
    Thanks for asking.

I would say they are more for looks, less stress on the fabric, and weigh about as much as a kilt safety pin.

Thanks for the photos I have done some wood carving in the pat. Water fowl, song birds, etc. You have inspired me to try a kilt pin.

    Glad to hear it!!
If you have access to a scroll-saw, it makes it soooooo much easier too.
If I can help in any way let me know.
