    My wee Son

At the end of May, my son graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Food Science and Industry. He didn't walk the line because he is starting grad school in the fall. The next weekend, he went to St Louis to attend a cousins High School graduation and for my parents to take him out to dinner to celebrate his graduation. Naturally pics were taken. My mother had requested he wear trousers for the pics and his cousins graduation. As he has no trousers suitable for such he went kilted. His cousin seems to be embarassed to be around a guy in a skirt. Anyway, here is the pic of him. Yes, I'm going to talk to him about his socks and the flashes. This is the first time he's gotten this dressy with his kilt and you know he hasn't paid that much attention to what I have worn. Other than that he looks pretty sharp.

Firstly, congratulations to your son on his graduation. Secondly, he looks great! Love the outfit. A shame others don't feel the same way but he should dress as he pleases, glad he went kilted.

What colors are in that kilt? It looks cool. No matter about socks. Let the boy wear what he wants when he wants. You're lucky you got a young man that age to even wear a kilt. Kudos to you and him....

I agree, he looks good. It must make you proud, he has taken to the kilt..

    Tony,

You should be proud of your son

He is a handsome young lad and you should buy him a pair of decent hose

(Psst... also tell him it is OK to smile )

Yes, we are rather proud of the boy. We view his success as vindication of our thoughts on education and our decision to homeschool. He finished his undergraduate time with a 3.5 GPA in a science heavy field. The boy can think critically, which is rare in his age group, and can defend his beliefs in a clear logical manner.

    Andy,

The kilt is a SWK Nightstalker, so it's black and grey.

    Panache,

That's about as close to a smile as he'd get at that time. For whatever reason, my parents always seem to take pics with the subject facing the sun. The goodwife and I have already talked about getting him some proper hose.

I knew I liked that tartan....I have the same one. Just couldn't tell cause on my end, the colors looked white and green. Nice thing about the Nightstalker is you can dress it up and dress it way down as much as you like. It looks great with white hiker socks or black kilt hose (yup....I went there). It's all a matter of how one "rocks" it and he appears to have that down quite well....

The young gent looks quite well, even when squinting into the sun. The low hose and flashes thing is popular among some of the young lads around here, i wouldn't sweat it too much. He pulls it off well, looking rather neat.
