Is anyone able?
Is anyone able to wear a kilt ever day on the job? I have spoke to a few people that do here in Texas. The company/boss they work for allows them to wear a kilt. That would be nice....

If you look around, a lot of people wear their kilt to work. I am a school teacher and luckily my principal spent time in Scotland. He has a kilt himself, although he does not wear it. Since mine is quite a distraction to students, I limit it too holidays and the once a month Kasual Kilted Friday.

I am able to wear the kilt everyday. There is no dress code here. I wear it whenever I feel like it or whenever my wife tells me. I think its welcome. Everyone in the department has their own sartorial quirks. (Such as the professor who wears a flying spaghetti monster t-shirt.)

Monday to Friday, less holidays. I'm a federal government office worker (sort of - I'm actually classed as a "contractor" and that way I technically don't work for the government - even though I do).
Never asked for permission or even inquired about it. Just went and did it. I did the switch to kilts between Christmas 2008 and New Year's 2009, and I think I've worn trousers to work twice since then.
Once, right after I went to kilts, just to see if it was true that they are more comfortable - and yes they are!
The last time was the Friday before Halloween - just to be dressed "different".

As a college professor I am lucky enough to be able to wear my kilt daily. In fact, it has now become my expected form of dress!

As a contractor at a well despised, er, known software giant I wear one essentially every day, the exception being during winter when pissing rain I often wear trews in lieu.
