A Fine Kilted (K)night with the Knights of Columbus

Last night my wife and I attended the Christmas party held by my local Knights of Columbus council. Seeing as I am an officer and member, and it was a dress up dinner, what better reason to go kilted .. as if I needed a reason!

And so here's results.

Lotsa good comments -- the usual questions - and a small amount of ribbing from my parish priest.

It sure was cold though!

Today -- Santa Claus for the kids. Wanna try one with the Santa top and my Saffron kilt

I don't know if they're still wearing them but the priests in my day wore cassocks most of the time and only rarely showed up in a black suit. If your local vicar there is giving you the business about the kilt, you can get your revenge when he show up in the cassock.

Sounds like a great time, but you might want to consider a kilt jacket. The shortened length allows the kilt to be seen better and be a more prominent part of the outfit. The jacket you are wearing could be altered easily to match better with the kilt.
