Custom Woven tartan
I don't know if many here realize that you can order custom tartan through the Scottish Tartans Museum web site.
http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/custom.htm
We can have literally any non-copyrighted tartan woven to order, and the minimum is only 4 yards (meaning you can order just enough for a single kilt and not have to break the bank investing in a bolt of material you don't need).
Yes, the cost is a bit more than stock tartans, but not as prohibitive as many think custom tartan would be.
We have our cloth made by some of the highest quality mills in Scotland.
Anyway, I just updated the order page for our custom material, so I thought this would be a good chance to remind folks that we are happy to provide this service. Take a look at the order page, and if anyone notices any typos or anything that could be clearer, please let me know.
