Howdy one and all!
Back again after taking some time off, trying to get this thing called life started again, lol, but in the meantime I've been rockin the kilts when I can, even made two of them myself! Okay one and a half, had mom give me a hand with the first one, lol, but after that the second one was all on my own. No tartans as of yet, both were solid colors one black and one O.D. Green. One day when I can find my camera or the stupid cable to my phone I'll get the pics posted, I remember, no pics it didn't happen!...lol...right now getting the house back in order and so forth. But I'll be lurking here and posting here more often!! Glad to see a few familiar names out there still!
Also got a question for anyone...Where can I find the material for a tartan based on The Whitestripes Hunting (or formal) Tartan? I think THAT is the tartan I want to be my first to attempt!
Cheers!

the Whitestripe Tartans are listed with the STA as corporate Tartans.
here is the listing for the Whitestripes Hunting;
Designed by Peter Wilson ((Great Scot International) and Gordon Kirkbright (Fraser & Kirkbright).
The White Stripes are a Rock-n-Roll band from the United States of America. The band, whose members include Jack White and Meg White, formed on July 14, 1997. Band member Jack White is half Scottish and a MacPherson descendant. The White Stripes had their Hunting and Dress tartans created to commemorate their 10th Anniversary. The tartans will be unveiled at a special concert to celebrate this event on July 14th, 2007 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. The tartans are red, black, and white, the band’s signature colors. The tartans have three stripes which repeat horizontally and vertically, as this number holds great significance for the band.
A Dress version has also been registered with black & red reversed. Woven sample.
I doubt you will be able to find anyone who carries this Tartan so it will probably need to be a special weave. And I would also check on any copyrights that may be on it.
I would call or email Gordon and Fraser & Kirkbright.
