Just elfing off
On Saturday, 3, December, I was honored to help out the local humane society with their 'pet photos with Santa' fund raising event. Over the five hours, we were there, some 35 dogs (and one cat) came by with their people, to have their photos taken. I had not formally volunteered, but showed up ready to work, and work I did. The whole time kilted, of course. It was a chilly 48ºF in the breezeway, where we were located. Yet, I was very comfortable in a Stillwater, standard kilt, in MacKenzie Modern, paired with a blue wool jumper and burgundy hose.
One of the other volunteers advised that she grew up in Ontario, in a family proud of their Scottish heritage. As a result, until her teens, she wore a tartan skirt to all important family functions. Naturally, she liked my look.
And what was it Riverkilt said? The ladies enjoy a man in a kilt? Several ladies let it be known that, I, as one said, "rocked the look".
Since this is a photo thread:
Santa

The merchandise and information table.

This board had photos of all of our shelter guests, who are looking for a home.

And of course, the elves.
