Great first experience with Keltoi
I ordered my first real kilt around the end of September from John, and I will say that he was a pleasure to work with. As this was a first time buy, he took the time to go over all the options that were available to me and freely gave me the knowledge and experience help to make the right decisions. I ended up ordering two kilts from him. One full 7 yard Modern Mackinnon Hunting clan kilt from the Edgar mill and a box pleated Ancient Mackinnon Hunting from Strome. As promised to me, he got both kilts made for me before christmas, so I have a great outfit for the festive season.
As John interestingly pointed out, both kilts are very close in colour to each other (that I really don't mind, but have a different set and tartan features.
The kilts have been made to a top notch standard, and i am glad that I went with a local kilt maker. I'll probably be ordering another kilt from him in the next year or so to expand my wardrobe.

John's work is first rate, and though it may seem obvious it is worth mentioning they are hand sewn. John's box pleats are really nice and if you want to try something different now that you have a knife and box pleat his Kingussie pleated kilts are very nice as well.

I'm always thrilled when someone here announces that they have received a kilt from John; that means I am one kilt closer to having my order sewn.

I got my kilt from John a year ago November and have been absolutely thrilled with it. It's Ferguson Modern in House of Edgar heavyweight.
Unfortunately I have a very severe addiction to the military box pleat kilt and John was one of the few kilt-makers who makes this style. I am couldn't be happier with it and I'd like for him to make my next kilt as well.
Do you have pictures of your new kilt Matt?

I'm another who can enthusiastically recommend John and his products. I've one kilt he made and another that he altered to fit when I lost weight. First class work and service.
