5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt (TDK)
It has been a long time since I have posted and just as long since I have worn my kilt. Unfortunately I had to leave my tank and other kilts in storage while I get settled in the Olympia area. On a positive note I see that 5.11 now offers the Tactical Duty Kilt (TDK).

Well, that's it for now. I will eventually be back in force and posting on a regular basis once I get my kilts back.
Cheers

And a word of caution... measure your self. These are marked in accurate waist size, like dress slacks, not the "vanity" sizes often seen with bluejeans. Use a tape measure to get your true size. (In other words, if you wear 38 jeans, and order a 38 TDK, you will likely find the TDK too tight, and a tape measure would likely show you are really a 40.)

I simply went for the same waist size as all my 5.11 Tactical P@nts. Easy.

Men's pants do vanity sizing too? And here I was always wishing women's pants went by measurement rather than "sizes," which are so arbitrary... you mean they make actual measurements arbitrary too? *headdesk*

Actually, I contacted 5.11 about their sizes - they ARE vanity sizes. They said to measure yourself, and then take 2" off, and that'll be the correct size. Just FYI...
The following is from their email response:
Thank you for contacting 5.11 Tactical. Regarding your inquiry, when choosing a size, measure at your natural waist, and then subtract 2; for example, if your waist measures 38” around, with a tape measurement, you would be a size 36 kilt. The length on sizes up to 44 is 22”; sizes 44 and above is 23” in length.
I also don't know about the "natural waist"... as far as I can tell, these are designed to be closer to jeans waist, esp. with the 22" length...
