Kilt session at Convergence 2013

Convergenge 2013, July 4-7 in Bloomington MN, is having a session on kilts and kilt making. If you're planning to attend and you want to be a panel member, you can sign up now at the Convergence web site.

I thought it was time they had something like this, so I suggested the panel, and I'm going to be on it. I'm new to kilt making, so it would be great to get a veteran and a kilt wearer on the panel. If you're not the panel type, then just stop by to say hello. I would like to meet some of the X rabble.

I have never attended. I found the admission fee a bit off puting for an afternoon diversion. I have attended Gencon for years.

Update on the kilt session: The session went well. There were at least 60 people in attendance. It was great to see so much interest in kilts and kilt making. I provided info on xmarks and hope we will get some new members out of it. I also gave info on getting TAoKM and hope Barb will get some sales out of it.

Later I had a chance to talk to a couple of the people who attended. They seemed interested in increasing their kilt wearing. I was proud to be wearing the Macpherson modern hunting kilt that I'd recently made.
