As a former resident of the Bay Area (which I love)now residing in Southern California now, this is an amazing phenomena of the area. You can be in blazing heat and strong sun a short distance away and travel to Pacifica or Half Moon Bay and be completely engulfed in fog and . The word micro climate really applies in this region.
