    I was wrong

As I mentioned in the earlier post I just recieved my first kilt (utilikilt) and I love it. I have been reading all these kilt forums for about a month now. I have been hearing all you gentlemen speaking of how addicted you are to your kilts, of how much wearing one is superior to that of pants, and how the kilt has become such an big part to who you are. And I must say, I really thought it was just a bunch of crap, I mean how much power can just some garment have? Not to say I didn't think they looked cool, that was the whole reason in getting one, but how could it be any different than anything else? Well gentlemen, as I said in the topic, "I was wrong". I too an now a believer, a follower of the kilted order, if you will.
After wearing my utilikilt all day Friday and Sunday I must say, as I sit here wearing a pair of slacks, that pants suck. I'm not quite ready to throw all my pants away yet, however I find myself wishing I had a job that I could be kilted for.
Anyway as I your newest convert I just wanted to share. And to ask how was it your first time, wearing a kilt that is?

    thanx...Ded N. Buried

Well we can't say that you were not warned about the addictiveness of kilts

It takes a big man to admit wrong, and I'm glad you have. I cannot understand either the "power" that 4-8 yards of cloth can have, but it's true.

How many times have we heard people say this exact same thing. Enjoy your kilt, as I am sure you will be ordering another fairly soon.

Ah - the power of the kilt.

I wonder if this opens the door to things like 'power kilting'.

I must admit I'm another one who is hooked on the kilted life. I wore my bear kilt for a weekend and ordered another one the next weekend.

I am of the opinion that I would like to throw all my pants away and only wear kilts. However, here in Canada's capital it does get down to -30 C, at times in the winter. I'll have to work on that.

Casey, kilts are ver definitely an addiction, but one that is healthy for body, mind and spirit (unlike other addictions).
It's hard to stop at one kilt.

When my wife or friends say "don't you have enought kilts?" I ask how many skirts or pairs of trousers they have in their wardrobe.

Since it's not hard to pay $80-$200 for a pair of trousers, paying that much or more for a kilt is not out of order.
