Tattersall Shirt Website
Hey Guys,
A few months ago, someone (OC Richard? Jockscot?) posted a link to a site which sold dozens of different Tattersall shirts. Kelly's looking for Xmas gifts for me and since the only thing on my list so far is a bottle of Lagavulin (I'm VERY difficult to buy for), I figured I could help her out by sending her links to some shirts I'd like.
Anyone remember that site or have another with quality Tattersall shirts?
For those wondering what I mean by Tattersall, they are dress shirts with patterns on them:

If you're not looking specifically at shirt-specific stores (or manufacturers) there are some to be found on the big brand sites. I've always liked Macy's shirts and they have some Tattersall shirts on their site. LLBean and Amazon are other sources. Amazon, now doing product warehousing and shipping for many retailers, may have a selection from various sources. Lately I've begun researching sources for all sorts of interesting kilt-related items.

Van Heusen has some overchecks that are similar to tattersall. I purchased a Hoggs of Fife tattersall shirt from Scotweb a while back. Collar size wasn't bad but the overall size was too large. I returned it am awaiting delivery of a size smaller.

Good to know, Scott. Thank you.

From the link a while back.
The best luck I've had for Tattersall shirts is a company called James Tattersall (a bit on the nose, right? ), spread collar, more slim cut than standard, nice colours. The only drawback seems to be the randomness with which
I can actually find the shirts.

I have a sister who works for Macy's back east, I can get things at discount, and I scoured their website and didn't come up with a single true Tattersall shirt.
On that thread a while back I posted a couple photos of "close but no cigar" American shirts... there's always something a bit wrong, either having the wrong sort of collar (button-down, or pointed), or being short-sleeved, or not having the right sort of pattern.
To me, the shirts Rocky posted above don't have the true Tattersall pattern, but rather a 'country check' pattern.
Defining the Tattersall pattern very narrowly (open to debate) it's a two-colour check, fine even lines, the lines being the same in both directions, on a white or offwhite background. The shirts Rocky linked to have differently coloured lines in the two directions.
Here's what I think of as a true Tattersall shirt

Times they are a-changing! I just went on Macy's site and now they do have one shirt which more or less qualifies
