Rules about the age old question
Has anyone ever heard of this? Some guy today told me that what you wear under the kilt depends on who's sitting on the throne. If the queen is sitting on the throne, undergarments are mandatory. If the king is sitting on the throne, undergarments are optional. Doesn't quite sound right to me. I asked him where he learned that, and he just replied, "Some guy in Quebec." Are any of you Canadians spreading rumors?

That's what I've been trying to tell you all the time, but no one will listen.
We mustwear something under the kilt because of Her Majesty, Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth
NOW perhaps you'll all listen.
Thanks Philbo for clarifying that and I trust it will mean the end of the debate

What debate..? When Her Most Queenly Majestical Graciousness is present (ahemm-hem-hem) ... I'll follow the rules in force. All other times... it's my option.

I don't mind the queen seeing my bits he she don't

The throne
In the USofA we have a pretender king (george W) but when I am sitting on the throne(creating him a new political speech) my under garment is down around my ankles so I don't care what he thinks about what I am wearing under my kilt.

Graham! I am shocked! I'd have expected that you, as a loyal subject of The Queen like me, would have known that she is known as Her Majesty The Queen - Her Royal Highness is a title granted only to lesser female Royals, such as Princesses and Royal Duchesses.
Carry on like that, and you'll be transported back to England, clapped in irons in the Tower and fed bread and water - and rightly so!!!!

My apologies Hamish, both to you and Her Majesty, the Queen.
You are correct. I've been away from home too long, that much is sure.

Worse than that Hamish, he,ll be shipped to Oz and left to fend for himself in shorts and an akubra.

Truly, a fate worse than death itself!

How come that if all the men that the Brits transported to Oz were convicts, their descendents were all so good at cricket?
Well perhaps not all of them, said he having taken another look at Graham's photo album.
