warnin to ebay buyers
I just bought a kilt on ebay by accident.
I clicked buy now, to see what the payment options was.anyway, you don't get a second chance, No "are you sure" you just bought it.
my stupid fault.
anyway I emailed the vendor.
he was quite nice about it.
you don't have to buy, but I'll send ebay a
"none payment of bill" notice.. and you will no longer be allowed on ebay.
it's only a cheap kilt(no not cheapkilts) so it's no big deal.
I just wanted to warn you.
don't be stupid like me.

Thanks Phil.
I have used eBay a little but never "buy it now".
Thanks to your heads up, I'm not going to.
You would think they would say "Ok, your are going to
be charged for this when you push this button.

The few times I've bought off ebay I look at the item page for payment options. If they aren't there always email the seller first.

Dude!
Slim times on the auction front. The guy sent a notice to eBay that won't let you back on? Seems a little harsh to me. Heck with the "buy it now" specifics... I'll make sure NOT to deal with a guy that's not willing to be understanding.

Wow! Were I you Phil, I would back out of the deal as suggested by Alaskan Celt. It isn't really even 'backing out', at least not in my book, so no loss of honor or . That is the equivalent of adding something to a shopping cart with the intention of seeing the shipping and then being told that you were duty bound to buy the item.
I have purchased a few things from eBay, but when I found out the hard way that sellers can pull items at any time before the copmpletion of the auction, I lost respect for a system that proscribes to such a lopsided arrangement where things are not equal between buyer and seller. Buyer is allowed to back out up until zero hour without providing an explanation. Seller is expected to honor his bid.
Nah, I would not think less of you Phil for backing out of this one. Besides, unless I am remembering incorrectly, my experience with the 'Buy It Now' option is that you are permitted to click on the link to see payment issues, just as you mentioned. From there, you log in and select Paypal or back out or whatever.

Phil, I forgot to ask. What tartan or plain color is the kilt?

he said they charge him for a sale, and the only way not to get charged was to send a bill not paid notice to ebay.
I can see his point.
a few people have got stuff from this vendor, guys on this forum.
