Another "10 looks" thread might do well?
Further to the excellent new-thread-in-progress for the Great Kilt, a number of "looks"...
...might it be beneficial to give the same a go with, "10 Looks for the Ultra-Modern Kilt," e.g. Utilikilts, 5.11 Tacticak Duty kilts, Nightstalker "invisible tartan," et. al., being worn in a number of varying levels of smartness, down to ultra-ultra-casual-ness?
Perhaps there are "educational and inspirational" possibilities for illustrating the solid colour cotton-ripstop kilt being worn "up to" dressy-casual, e.g. with hose, Oxford cloth shirt, tie, non-cantle sporran, blazer and polished leather shoes.
The level of dress could "slide" from there to...just the kilt and a bush hat, for lounging around the campfire.
Thoughts, Ye of the Noble Rabble?

I say go for it. Even though I slide the opposite direction on the time line, I think it could be nice to see some MUG wearers get their time in the sun. This site is, after all, a celebration of all things kilted. On a facebook group I haunt, never really posting, there was at least one shot of a guy in an all black utili-kilt with shirt, tie, and a jacket (obviously a normal suit jacket). It could have looked quite dressy with a sporran and a kilt-cut jacket (so as to not hide the sporran). Then you could include the pinstripe kilt suits as well.
Keep your rings charged, pleats in the back, and stay geeky!

I think it is an idea with merit. I do however think that this thread would be better in the Modern Kilt section.
