Union Jack / Union Flag kilt

The Union Flag Skilt is the most complicated design we make. (There is a debate over whether it is proper to call it a "Union Jack" unless it is flying on a boat.) Each pleat has it's own set of unique pattern pieces so that when the pleats are sewn together the flag looks as if it is simply wrapping around. It looks simple but it's not. As always, it's great to hear your feedback.

Thanks Bob. It took a long time to find makers that could work to this standard. In the end I found a small workshop just 5 minutes from where I live in the east end of London. These guys are proper sewing ninjas.

I like the idea of the union flag kilt , but prefer the tailoring of a traditional kilt. Like the satire kilt on the other thread. ( I've corrected attribution by the way)
I hate to think how much it would cost to produce a UJ kilt traditional style. way to much for me....
