Peace and justice in a kilt
Yesterday,Sunday, dressed in my black utilikilt and
my blue "dumb and dumber" T-Shirt. I and thousands of like minded persons gathered in Portland for a peace and justice rally.
As I said there were at least two thousand men, women and children and as far I could see I was the only KILTED man present.
I did see one man in a long skirt but did not get a chance to converse with him.
I did not get a single comment on the kilt BUT I got many "great T-Shirt" comments. I was even stopped four times to take my picture. As I said no one said a word about the kilt but I would like to belive the picture taking was about my kilt and the T-Shirt.
This is the fourth time I have gone to a rally like this in a kilt and it is wonderful feeling to be so free and contforable in the presents of so many people.

Robert, being that this was at a "rally", let's hope that the picture taking was for the kilt and NOT someone with Homeland Security.

father land security
Good thought I never even gave the fatherland security. These were younger folks dressed in regular clothing (no black suits and ties) so guess I am safe. If I don't post anything for a long time you will know I have been disappeared to Cuba.

You just never knows what kind of influence you and your kilt are having on the general public. I have been approached on ocassion by those wished they had worn their kilt or expressed a desire to get one. I strongly suspect that there were plenty of supressed men at thet rally watching you and admiring from a distance. Men who, if they knew the truth of it, would also have enjoyed kilt freedom with you!

Never mind Robert, I rarely get verbal comments, I just enjoy the 'peace and justice' of wearing a kilt
Maybe the people commenting about the shirt really wanted to ask about the kilt, but were too shy so they took an indirect path??
Bit like the pretty lass walking the dog, a guy approaches and says "what a lovely puppy" - yeh, right! haha

That Dumb and Dumber is a great t-shirt Robert, I have a black one that says corporate slut with a picture of a certain carpetbagger who claims to be a down home texan on it that I wear with my casual wool kilt. Most people here get real fussy when they see those kind of t-shirts.
