    Pipers and WACs, May 1943

    We can clearly see the Highland Light Infantry badge worn by one of the pipers.

    What's cool to me, personally, is that the set of pipes the WAC has been handed to try is nearly identical to the set of pipes I play, made by the Glasgow firm RG Lawrie.

    You don't often see old Lawries with those big fat projecting mounts, I think those were from the 1930s.

    Here's my set.
