It still utterly amazes me that people are that daft to wear a kilt with the pleats in the front. It's not like there aren't plenty of reference pictures about!

then he shewed them a wee pic o me and a few other kilted men he had wi him...

It is a really great service we X-markers provide to the public, keeping the kilt on, and on right!

One of the guys I work with wore a kilt in a couple years ago. He had the pleats on the left and the aprons on the right....about 90 degrees off. Filled him in real quick and he turned it. Good thing no one else was in yet.

Did any of you see the reality show a few months ago where there was to be a mock wedding and the "groom" and "bride" were in on the trick. He was to act obnoxious and bad tempered and see how long the family stuck with the "bride" if they did then the "bride" would get a large prize...anyway. The "bride's" brothers (who claimed Irish ancestors) came to the "wedding" and wore kilts....backwards....on National TV.
Almost fell on the floor laughing.

I saw a few guys at the Irish Faire in Irvine, CA on saturday wearing them backward, one had his on sideways and I thought maybe I should give them a heads up but after a bit I determined they were beyond help (it's one of those things you just "know) and commenced to laugh at them instead.
I'm a bad kiltie for not teaching but it would've been a waste of time.
TCS - some people shouldn't wear kilts

Hopefully just seeing a kilt worn properly will cause a light bulb to go on - "Hey, Now that looks good..." .
If not, you may be right!

hmm...looks like someone lost a bet...
A dinner-table cloth wrapped around you does not make a good kilt. Neither do mom's winter sheets!
and please...if you are wearing tartan, please match them!
