Packing a kilt for travel

Thanks guys, for all the tips. That one about the folding chair cover is great! Between knowing that my kilts will be traveling well and I, traveling kilted, will be doing likewise, this trip is going to be a breeze (Now, if only the family doesn't get nervous about a guest wearing a kilt at the wedding ;-)

Michael,

Utilikilts and their like: fold vertically and pack flat.
Traditionally pleated kilts: roll, with the aprons on the inside, slide into the leg of a pair of tights (sorry - pantyhose!) and pack in the bottom of your suitcase.

If travelling by car: keep on their hangers and hang if possible. Otherwise lay them flat on spare seats.

I prefer to roll my kilt to folding this way i would not have to iron the kilt so much when i pull it out to hang
