    Jonesing.....

I am so sick and tired of winter. It just doesn't seem to want to quit. I'm jonesing for spring. I BBQ'd dinner today despite the snow.

I've got a new 8 yard kilt being built in Scotland that won't be here for a couple more weeks. I'm jonesing for that.

I recently stumbled into Matt Newsomes website... now I'm getting the jones for one of those awsome box pleat trads.

If the itch gets bad enough... should I not scratch?

    cheers to all,
    blu

Scratch away Blu. No better way to cure that itch than to follow through.

Matt has got me going also. I am thinking very serious about getting the Ulster Red in addition to a box pleat traditional.

Oh check book why aren't you fatter?

No reason a little cold weather should keep you from firing up the grill. You can always stay close and keep warm while you cook.

No snow on the ground, but I just finished a steak I grilled.

Blu, you're a true braveheart - standing there in the snow as you are.
Winter will soon pass, summer will come and then just think of me stuck in the middle of winter!

What tartan is the Scottish kilt you have on order?

    "a little cold weather"

Na. These guys from Canada are serious about their
winter. I really do not consider what we have in the south to be winter. Just a nice extended fall.
There is more snow on the ground in Blu's photo
than I have had all winter.

    Blu,

My hat is off to you. Way to keep kilting!

    Snow?

You mean that white background in Blu's picture?

We haven't had any of that stuff around here in about 4 years.

BLU! Slap on a moose, some caribou, and pop the top on a Molson, eh?!

I'm with you brother! My "jonesing" is for the temperatures that welcome the kilts. There's nothing worse than leaving a gig at 2:00am and heading out into stiff winds, snow, and sub-zero wind chills.

Hey Graham. Time to share some of that heat! Tilt the globe up this way, would you?!

Blu, what colour are those socks and where did you get them? Are they really a greeny blue as they look in the photo?

The kilt you have on in the pic looks great on you! What kind is it?

My stock answer to the cold question any more is..... "I'm used to it!"

This a real improvement. A couple of weeks ago it was up to my knees!

I know... But I've only got buffalo left. Thats ok... still tastes pretty good with a cold Tennent's.

Sort of a grey-blue (lovat?). They go nicely with the turtle-neck I'm wearing and the blue stripe in the tartan. (Henderson - ancient colors 16oz). Got them from

    http://www.benbhraggiehouse.com/clothing.htm

The kilt was made by this talanted lady in Nova Scotia, Canada.

    Thanks for the info!

I thought they looked darker than Lovat blue, more like teal, but I guess it's just a trick of the camera or my monitor.

    Nice kilt!
