    Goodbye old friend

yes, tonight while listening to some beautiful celtic music (Loreena McKennitt) I bade farewell to the last drop of my first bottle of Ardbeg Whisky.

We first met at Heathrow duty free, the replacement cost is more than my marriage is worth here in Australia.

So unless a real special deal comes about, an unexpected meeting mayhaps, I must say farewell to Ardbeg, (sponsors of Clann an Drumma).

The good news is that I have an unopened bottle of Bowmores sitting there ready to greet me.

I know, you don't have to say it, I live a sad and lonely life (not) :-D:-D

thanks David for the consolation and advice. Mr Ardbeg did last for over 5 weeks, which is a record.

I'll take your words under advisement, I feel better already

IMHO the 10 is better than the 17 YO but not as good as the Very young.
You should take this advice twice a day with a touch of spring water.... ;)

Speaking of drinking, I have been "officially" dry, sober, since Feb 1 of this year after falling off the wagon. It's been a little rough.

I need to say a long good bye to these old friends and then somehow just forget about them.

    Hey Dread,

Was good Skye whisky that introduced me to Bill and Bob. Been friends with them for over 15 years now. Saved my besotted life.
