Which casual kilt?
I need, yes need, another kilt. Well, I want another kilt, happy now?
It seems that I pull on a pair of worn shorts every evening and weekend. So I want a kilt instead. Good enough to wear to the store, but mainly for lounging, riding the tractor, watching ball games. And embarrass my kids when we are in public, but that's just a bonus. Actually it just bothers my teens.
Probably not stillwater, 24" looks like a dress on me, needs to be shorter. Won't iron my own khakis, so don't need high maintenance.
I am open to any and all suggestions. While I have been holding on to tarten only, maybe that isn't even as important here. Wife thinks camo would be cool, not too sure myself, but what the heck.
Here is you chance gents & ladies, sheel for your favorite.
Thanks
David

Steve at Freedom Kilts carries a poly-cotton blend (as I'm sure other makers might?) which is a very low maintenance fabric, looks pretty sharp without ironing. Carries camo as well. The list of makers of casual kilts is pretty long, I'm sure many other people will have just as amny sugegstions.

Stillwaters can be easily hemmed up, the fabric is light enough that it won't ruin the looks of it.

David, do you want tartan or plain?
If tartan, my well known preference is USAK poly vis. either the casual (philabeg), with sewn pleats for easy care or the semi traditional for more material and traditional straps etc.
If plain, well I've heard good things about Freedom kilts, I have one on order but not seent them yet.
Bear Kilts do a great job in plain and tartan....lots of choices there!

David,
From what everyone else has said I would like to add Pittsburgh Kilts. That too is another option. I don't have all those mentioned yet, but they are on my list.

Utilikilts will be at the Cincinnati celtic festival Sept 24-25, you could see one in person. Pittsburgh kilts are great too.
