    Do you find ...

Do you find that wearing your Cilt/Kilt makes you more of a laid back/relaxed person than normal. I'm normally quite laid back about things, but definitely even more so when I am wearing my Cilt. Maybe its just me .. I be interested to know anyones thoughts on this.

I'm so laid back by nature Derek, that I am falling asleep. LOL

Now when I am wearing the k(c)ilt, I find that I am more fun, and more fun means more relaxed. So in answer to your question, yes I am more relaxed.

Yeah, I guess it does now that you have mentioned it. I am more physically comfortable which of course has some impact on one's being. But also, I find that being kilted out and about in public causes me to tap into my self-confidence. I know I am standing out, so I have to "go with it" or else crumble under embarrassment laden self-consciousness. Also, kilts feel so natural, that I just feel like myself when I am wearing one, which can be relaxing in a sense.

Definitely. It seems to remind me to relax and enjoy life a bit more.

No. Rather the opposite. I'm more aware that I'm sticking out in a crowd and more self-conscious.

I don't think self-consciousness is a bad thing, btw, unless taken to extremes.

Yes...me too, but because I highly enjoy the "awareness" I'm also very relaxed.

    Being a kiltwearer is great...it's a privilege.

Man if you’re sticking out, you need to wear a sporran.

    I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. ;-)

That's very true. I'm enjoying myself much more now that I'm cilted full time, and my friends and family (pardon the pun) like to 'hang out' with me more;-) . Life is good!!!

I find the reverse - today when I was waiting to cross the road the lights changed as an ambulance came towards the pedestrian crossing lights flashing and siren sounding.

I stayed on the pavement, but this idiot walked across the road - OK - quite safely, there must have been all of two seconds to spare before the ambulance passed.

I surprised myself by experiencing a split second of wanting to go over there and saying something - and then a whole half second of knowing what it was to want a double handed sword and the freedom to use it.

Of course by the time I got across the road he was long gone and the red mist had dispersed...

So it's true they don't call your BIG DAVE for nothing? 8-)

I Don't notice one way or another because I also wear Buckskins with lots of knifes 3 in full view none concealed. People might look and ask questions and I will answer if I can but more relaxed????
