    Ordered a New Sporran

I just ordered a new sporran from Highland Tide. I figured if I ever got a full mask sporran, it would have to be a skunk.8-)

It is $250, in the lower price range for full mask sporrans. This is the website:

The site belongs to our forum administrator, Hank. There is also a link on his profile page, and on the links page of this site.

does it come with or without the stink??

and badgers, are they not protected (in UK at least)?

I saw a fox sporran at a Burns supper recently, foxes are real unpopular in Tasmania so their heads would be worth a price.

I always thought the same thing; the black and white would set off a formal outfit really well. I just haven't found a roadkill that was fresh enough yet. But now someone could actually do it for me!

I got the sporran today. It looks pretty much like the picture here. It was made by L&M Highland Outfitters. The fur is a little thin on a couple of the edges, but nothing drastic. It has a capacity about like any dress sporran, enough room for wallet and keys. You wouldn't want to put any more in because then the flap wouldn't sit right and the nose would stick out.

It came with a set of leather and chain hangers to hang it from the front of the kilt belt, but I won't use them and will instead just run a sporran strap through it.

This will probably be my only full mask sporran. I like this one because it's a skunk, but I don't see myself wearing an animal head in my lap too often.
