Well, I got the heavyweight back from the seamstress yesterday. The reduction of material from the pleats is a huge improvement. But the pockets.......

They were invisible sure enough, but the left hand one sure messed up the swing because of the way it had to installed. The right hand one, because of the pleats facing the other way, was completely unacceptable. I mean, it basically faced backwards. I picked it up about 1:30, and before 3:00 I had removed the pockets and sewed up the holes.

So then, trouser style pockets have to be designed from the get go because of the provisions that has to be made. My reccommendation: go with having the pleats freed up another couple inches and cut out at the top. It is well worth the small cost, but don't waste money trying for side pockets.
