    New girlfriends and kilts.

Well all you men out there who are worried about meeting a girl who does not mind you wearing a kilt, and are worried about a new girlfriends reaction to you going kilted from time to time. There is a large population of women (Here in the states) who think the kilt is awsome. Having started a relationship only receintly with an wonderful girl who completely supports my kilt wearing and has helped me accessorize quite well. I'm here to tell you don't compromise. They are out there. I have met a few women who scoff at the idea. They are not worth the time of day to me. Who has stories on the positive, and Negitive of this issue?
On a side note: Im thinking of purchasing a tartan skirt for her, any good sources?
    Thanks

    Dude!

I've been wearing my kilt out in public for about a year now, and you are right, a lot of women love 'em! I started dating one special young lady a few month back and told her straight out about the kilt wearing. As she is from Guatemala, she was at first taken back by the idea. After seing me in it and meeting some of the kilted guys I hangout with, I'm glad to say that HER new kilt arrived yesterday! (Blackwatch from SK - you got to start somewhere)
And I have to say, she looks HOT in it...of course it might have something to do with the Catholic school flash backs ;-)

The best way to not worry about girls and your kilting, is to only meet them while kilted!

I bought my first kilt for my second wedding. I'm REALLY hoping never to have to bring the subject up with a new girlfriend.

If I do, however, she can take me or leave me the way I am, kilts and all.

    Andrew.

Andrew has got it right. This is the best way to do it. And if you are a full-time kilt wearer she has the option of either accepting it or rejecting it right from the beginning. If she accepts it, then you have yourself a great girlfriend, especially if everything else is compatible. Much easier than having to later use the back door approach to let her know about kilt wearing.

I agree with you on that. Although not a full time kilter (well at least not yet) i do like to wear them on occasion & have met with some resistance from potential mates - which quickly reduced thier potential.

have made a decision that anyone that i involve in my life will have to be accepting of this aspect of me (and a few othrs best left unmentioned in such an august institution such as this)- which just makes me that much more interesting if i do say so myself - or get over it.

and after saying all that i have to ask myself - why am i still single???? ??:
    ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!
