Lasik complete
I had the lasik done on my eyes yesterday and today has been wonderful. I can read without contacts or glasses and everything is clear. Thanks to everyone for their advise and comments.

Pretty cool isn't it!
And as I said before you will notice even more improvement each day as the swelling & irritation subsides.
For me the most notable improvement was seeing less of the blurring, haze, & starbursts each day (and especialy at nite while driving) when looking at lights.
Oh, and CONGRATS!

Can you describe the sensation of having your eyelids held open, your cornea removed, etc.????
Its the sensations of the patient that I am curious about....
It sure is a nightmare to see......

While it's fresh in snipe's mind he could give better details.
For me the only bothersome parts were when they fold the lens back off of your eye and all you can see is blurry lights & shapes, and then while the laser is fireing I could smell the flesh being burned away. All in all, not that bad or traumatic though.

Of recent posts - I don't know which is more disturbing - having your septum removed, pounded flat on a marble slab while you watch then re-inserted or having lasers burning your detached cornea and lenses... ;-)
