Out and about
Wore the new SWK today when my wife and I went shopping. First stop was Wal-Mart for a chair for the wife. Walking around the store not too many comments of any kind. One woman walked by and said, "Your kilt looks nice." In the distance I heard some young woman say to someone, "Wow a kilt I haven't seen one of them in a long time."
The most interesting thing that happened was the in-store PA system started playing Amazing Grace, yeah the pipe version.

I wonder if it was pure coincidence, or if they played it on purpose just for you?

Wow the Kilt has so much power as to cause the pipe version of Amazing Grace? That is simply amazing!

I hope it was just coincidence, otherwise my paranoia would kick in.
By the way did you hear about the dyslexic paranoid, he always thought he was following someone.

No, I hadn't heard of that guy. However, I did know a dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac once. He used to lie awake at night wondering if there really was a Dog. 8)

Our Walmart has that music, too. There's a display of CDs, and the display plays samples of each. The bagpipe CD seems much more noticeable then the others.

If the bagpipe version of Amazing Grace was deliberate, then I would have felt honored that they did so. It sounds like you had a very good kilted outing.

I can confirm the existence of Dog, as he talks to me all the time...really. That, and He licks his parts in front of me. 8)
Sorry, it is saturday morning, after all.
As for the pipes, there is NOTHING like the pipes on Remembrance Day, along with Last Post on the bugle. Even at 42, all the hairs on the back of my head still stand up and a huge lump comes into my throat. And yes, many tears have been shed.
For you Yanks on board, if you have never heard the Last Post, look it up. Used the same as Taps, but in my opinion, is much nicer(no offence intended). We need a smiley on here who salutes.
