Kilt Hose Deal?
Picked up this link over on the IMFF board.
http://www.wbrewin.co.uk/
Don't know the outfit. They are offering kilt hose in cream, navy, black, lovat blue and lovat green in two sizes for 3.99 British Pounds a pair.
They also have a "deal" for ten pairs for 29.99 British Pounds.
Don't know the maker, they just say "one of the UK's leading manufacturers" They don't say they're seconds...but I wonder.
They also claim that they are on hand and ready for immediate shipment.
Anyone have any experience with these folks?

W. Brewin & Co.
Just sent a test order for four pair of kilt hose. They look good, so we'll see. I'll let you all know what I think when they arrive.

That's a great deal Ron,
I don't think I need 10 pairs, but even 4 pairs for £13.99 is a good deal. I have been looking to add some Lovat blue hose to the collection. I already have off-white, navy, bottle green, black, charcoal, and lovat green.

Aye,
Was the Cessna guy in Scotland that bought some, asked him to post here on how they worked.
I need to replace my lovat blues too...shrank 'em somehow...
Just REAL leary of "deals" with unnamed hose from ebay sellers...

Ron,
I've purchased two pair of kilt hose on eBay from these chaps. I got Lovat green and Lovat blue. They're both superb. I get the notion that Brewin is a major UK online merchant in socks.
Fas as I'm concerned, their quality is just fine.

I found a currancy converter and the 29.99 pounds for ten pair comes out to Five bucks and change a pair USD. Haven't found the shipping and handling charge yet.
The website portrays the company as family owned and shows a little cottage....hardly....

Their eBay listings show 8.99 pounds to ship 10 pair to N.America. Overall its looking at $6.30/pr.
