    High School Girls Love Kilts

I haven't worn pants in over 8 months now. I don't think much about wearing kilts anymore.

Last weekend ran into a coworker and her teenage daughter at our new Super WalMart . Today got this belated email comment from the coworker tagged on to the end of a business message.

Oh ya, my daughter thought your kilt you had on in walmart the other day was "Sooooo cool!"

I know your pain since I did that kilt demo at school many of the young ladies smile or ask where's your kilt. 15 mins of fame I now know what Warhol meant.

    Ron, you old dog you!

I haven't noticed any teenagers, but I have had extra attention from several twenty-something's. Makes you feels good.

Didn't you get the numbers backwards??? You are 16 and wear fossil shirts right?

hopefully some of these high school boys will get a clue and realize that the girls really like a kilt-wearing man and will take to it themselves and a whole new generation of kilters will begin......

I got a right friendly, "Hey you" from a 40-something-years young grandma of a co-worker today, when she saw me walking 'round a' kilted up. It certainly gave my spirits a lift.

Gentlemen (and ladies, too), I think I run small risk of contradiction when I state that many of us take the positive comments, smiles and polite questions as being amongst the "perks" of kilt-wearing. Ay, the comfort is grand, but the attention is frosting on the cake.
