Disappointing package
Yesterday, I got a lil tag on my door that the postal person stopped by but did not leave my package. The tag did not say who the package was from just that I can get it the next day at the post office.
I'm thinking "Yeah!!!, My USA Kilt is here." I can hardly wait until tomorrow. Why didn't that darn postal person leave my package?!? I can wait one more day...I think.
But what I am going to wear with it; I can't wait. Then I notice that the post office doesn't open until 9 AM yet I suppose to be at work at 6 AM.. What to do, what to do...to make a long story short - i get my wish and get to go in to work late.
This morning just after opening I'm waiting in line with a big smile. It's finally my turn...most of you know the routine: 'Here's my ticket.' "Please wait." "here's your package." "I need to see your id" 'No Problem'
During this little exchange the package is sitting on the counter with the back facing toward me.
I grab the package and proudly/happily stroll out.
Then, I'm stunned I finally looked at the front of the package. It's it's is from .... my sister
Boy, I have never been so disappointed in receiving a package before.

ouch. that is almost an anti-jones.
you need to call her and say something about this torture she has put you through! I would suggest demanding a new kilt or sporran and strap. That should make up for your emotional trauma.

Ouch.
If it makes you feel any better, Fed/Ex delayed my package delivery until tomorrow/next business day (that better be tomorrow!) for no apparent reason. All I got was: Delivery exception 1. No attempt made, delivery rescheduled for the next business day.
Bummer. Although it could be worse, since I have ordered stuff from overseas before, and either been scammed, or the mail carrier who was supposed to deliver it was retarded. This was some vintage video games from Japan... the package was supposed to be insured and tracked. The tracking said delivery attempt: no answer. Apparently because of that, it's OK to send the package back to the sender... this was using EMS, the Japanese international option. I was most disappointed. So far, nothing from any of the suppliers I have been purchasing from lately has been handled in such a bass ackwards fashion.
