    Saturday at the Harwell Games

A fabulous day at the games at Loch Hartwell, Georgia. Temps in the low 70's, mostly sunny, good food (Douglas Bakery, Caledonian Kitchen) and X-Marks fellowship. Here are a few pics over several posts.

Massed bands cresting and coming down Pipers Hill. I don't remember all the band names but among them are the Atholl Highlanders (host band) and the Chattahoochee Pipes and Drums, from my home town of Roswell.

    Very Inspiring!

My wonderful daughter came with me and lasted all day and into the caleigh afterwards. The glow you see on our faces was more than sunburn.

A couple of Matt Newsome kilts. Fellow on the right shows a bit extra leg, eh?

I ought to put this one on the kilting do's thread: Do buy your gal a matching tartan to go with her corset.

X-Markers got together at the Renegade Kilts booth. I think we do a creditable job of the Hamish dip here. From left to right: Me, Alan's son Harry, Alan, MacWage, FHPDO, and Kilted Goth. What a great time and sharing and camaraderie.

This fellow is Shawhighlander, who hasn't posted for a while but whom I ran into and spent the day with. He lives quite nearby me in Apharetta.

Me, Paul, and Jonathan - (Jonathan was on his third Old Chub at the time - a very nice stout with a vanilla finish)

These fellas pulled the parking lot shuttle

It's a small games, but very friendly - we had a great time and look forward to seeing many of you at the Stone Mountain Games in two weeks. Look Jonathon up at the Shaw tent - He is the Convener for Georgia.

I'm new to the forum so just found this thread. Loch Hartwell Games were fantastic. Mike Gordon and everyone else who put the Games together did a wonderful job and made my children, mother and myself feel very much at home. I will be going back again next year for sure.

    Thanks for sharing the pics.

Turpin, your daughter is a sweetheart. Thank her again for me for teaching my two how to do a little celtic dancing.
