A pic or 2 from this past weekend...

here we are at the rennaisance fair in ohio this past weekend. i wore my UK original and my buddy Ryan wore on that he had made (his first, by the way).
this past weekend was the Celtic themed weekend....

here we are with a pirate wench...me on the left...

Ryan , Christie (in her seriously altered Menzies tartan mini-kilt), and me with our VERY tasty turkey legs!

Sheaf Toss. this guy beat the amateur record of 37' 6", and tossed the 16 pound burlap bag over 38 feet!

this place was super cool! all of the buildings and structures stay up all year. the fest itsself lasts for, i think, 2 straight months...

it's kind of a cotton canvas duck material with leather around the waist and a leather apron. he found some kilt making instructions on the web and made it himself. he did a pretty good job on it, but it does need some refinements. i'm sure his next one will be even better. it's more of a casual kilt as it sits at the belt line where you would normally wear your pants and it uses buttons to fasten. the buttons are very ornate gold metal buttons. i'll see if i can find a better pic. here are a couple that he made for his boys....
