Pics from Cardiff, Wales

Here are a few shots from our quick trip to Cardiff.

At the Paddington train station, getting ready to leave. Since the girls are so young, and Anita was still recovering from a severe ankle sprain, I got to handle all the luggage myself. The odd looking black belt is actually the waist strap for the larg backpack I am wearing. All told, I was toting 45lbs/22Kg on my back, and the rolling suitcases totalled 65lbs/30Kg. I got my exercise while we were there!

The weather was a bit rainier and cooler, so I threw on a jacket. Funny thing, before I started wearing kilts, I never had much occasion to wear this leather jacket, but it is the perfect accessory:

We all had a great time and Derek and Elaine were wonderful hosts. We can't wait to see them again.

Great pics! Looks like y'all had a good time. I noticed that your wife is not in the pic in front of the Welsh tartan center. Did you happen to slip in and place an quick order? And that cardboard cutout of Derek that the tourist bureau hands out isn't fooling me.

Man those were wonderful pictures. I have never been to the U.K. That must be changed. But you make me feel old. Your girls are about the age of my granddaughters.
