Brendan in the picture you quote had been sitting for quite a while before the photo was taken. He also is standing with his legs spread quite wide. He also put a large book in the back pocket.
All these things lead to the front apron having a wrinkle in it.
I do everything I can to eliminate that wrinkle. Including cutting the waistband at an angle. But you are correct. The front apron on the Cargo and Casual Models have buttons and they can sometimes cause a wrinkle. A quick swipe with the hand when standing up will almost always let the apron fall back down to its natural position.
This and the fact that buttons are not adjustable was the reason for the Dress Model.
